Pure water reverse osmosis equipment is a very common water treatment process.

The main core of reverse osmosis equipment is reverse osmosis RO membrane.

The service life of RO membrane directly affects the operation cost of water treatment.

So what are the reasons that affect the service life of RO membranes?
1. Improper operation When there is gas remaining in the reverse osmosis equipment, when it is operated under high pressure, the formation of the air hammer will damage the reverse osmosis RO membrane. The solution is to exhaust the air at low pressure and then step up the operation.
2. The shutdown method is incorrect. When the reverse osmosis equipment is ready to shut down, stop adding chemical reagents, gradually reduce the pressure, and rinse with pretreated water until the TDS value of the concentrated water and the TDS value of the raw water are close.
3. Maintenance and cleaning do not give force During the use of the process, the cleaning of the RO membrane is not timely or not taken seriously, which may lead to microbial contamination. Many manufacturers have exceeded their standards for pure water microbes after a period of production, which is caused by the lack of disinfection and maintenance.
4. Incorrect cleaning methods can also cause damage to the performance of the membrane and affect the service life. Contamination is often not a single one, and the symptoms of the symptoms are also different. Identification of the type of pollution should be based on the combination of raw water quality, design parameters, pollution index, operational records, equipment performance changes and microbiological indicators. After determining the type of pollution, it should be cleaned according to the type of pollution.
