Water quality is good
Due to the counter-current regeneration process, the resin regeneration is quite thorough, and the impurities remaining on the upper end of the filter will also be washed out, greatly improving the effect of soft water.
Salt consumption is low
According to the structure of the filter layer, more calcium (Ca+) and magnesium (Mg+) ions are absorbed by the resin in the front section. During regeneration, the regeneration liquid penetrates from the bottom to the top.
The sodium (Na+) ions in the resin at the bottom also flow to the upper layer, which in turn generates rapidly in a chain reaction, greatly improving the efficiency.
This can reduce the waste of regenerated liquid, and therefore reduce the wastage of regenerated salt.
According to the actual data measurement, the salt consumption of reverse-current regeneration is 30%-50% lower than that of downstream regeneration softener.
Low water consumption
