A film that is selective for the substances it transmits is called a semi-permeable film. When the same volume of dilute solution and concentrated solution were placed on both sides of a container, separated by a semi-permeable membrane, the solvent in the dilute solution will naturally pass through the semi-permeable membrane to the concentrated side of the flow, the concentrated side of the liquid surface will be higher than the dilute solution of a certain height, forming a pressure difference, to achieve osmotic equilibrium, this pressure difference is osmotic pressure. The size of the osmotic pressure is determined by the type, concentration and temperature of the concentrated solution, independent of the nature of the semi-permeable membrane. If the concentrated solution side of a pressure greater than the osmotic pressure, the concentrated solution of the solvent will flow to the dilute solution, the direction of the flow of such solvents and the direction of the original direction of the opposite osmosis, this process is called reverse osmosis.

Maintence
