Production Description
Electrodialysis technology:
Separation and concentration of ions in water by electrodialysis membranes using the action of an electric field.
Under the action of electric field, water molecules are ionized, producing H+ and OH- ions.
These ions migrate to the concentration chamber through the ion exchange membrane under the action of electric field force, thus realizing the initial purification of water.
Ion exchange technology:
In the EDI process, the ion exchange resin plays a key role.
Through the anion exchange membrane and cation exchange membrane, the cations in the water are adsorbed by the anion exchange membrane, while the anions are adsorbed by the cation exchange membrane.
This ionization exchange process further reduces the concentration of ions in the water and improves the purity of the water.
Desorption process:
After anion exchange, some ions may not be completely removed and are then desorbed through the charged exchange resin.
A resin full of ions is flushed with an electrolyte solution of opposite charge to that fixed, causing the ions to dissociate from the resin.
These ions are replaced in the desorption solution by convection and diffusion, thus completing the regeneration of the resin.
Continuous production:
Under a certain current, water molecules are ionized into H+ and OH- ions to regenerate the failed resin.
The ions fall into the concentrated water chamber through the ion exchange membrane and are discharged centrally, thus realizing the process of continuous water production and continuous regeneration.
System Composition:
In addition to the core technology described above, the 0.5-ton EDI ultrapure water system includes steps and equipment such as pre-treatment, booster pumps, reverse osmosis mainframe, EDI modules or mixed beds, purified water tanks, purified water pumps, ultraviolet sterilizers, polishing resins and microfiltration filters.
These equipment and steps work together to ensure the quality and efficiency of ultrapure water preparation.
